What Play's metadata policy discourages
Google's store listing rules ask you to keep the title and icon free of anything that looks like a performance or promotional claim. In practice that means avoiding:
- Words like "best", "top", "#1", "free", "new" or "sale" in the title, unless they're truly part of your brand name.
- Emoji, emoticons and repeated special characters.
- ALL CAPS, unless your brand is written that way.
- Repeating the same keyword over and over in the description.
Write for people first
The first two lines of your full description matter most — many people never tap "more". Say what the app does and who it's for, then list features as short bullets. Need a name first? Try the app name generator.
